GPIDEA - Technical Requirements
The University Information Technology Support Services (UITSS) committee and representatives from Information Systems and Sponsored Programs participated in the development of the standards for the University.
These standards apply to hardware and software used for University work. Your personal computing needs may vary.
Colorado State uses RamCT as its online learning platform for all academic courses. RamCT provides user-friendly access to course materials, discussion groups, assignments, exams, chat, and other learner services.
Some courses may also require textbooks, videotapes, CD-ROM's, or other media to provide additional materials and support. Online credit courses follow the University semester schedule. Online courses are available world-wide to students with access to the Internet.
Minimum Computer Requirements
The minimum computer requirements below will provide minimum access to all of CSU's online courses. For the best performance, students should consider the computer recommendations of the University by clicking here.
Browsers (for use with RamCT )
For all browsers, JavaScript must be enabled. Java must also be enabled to use Chat and Whiteboard features.
