Dean April Mason
Welcome! Thank you to the many alumni and special friends who support our College. Your gifts are essential for us to meet our goals and to positively impact our students and their experience at Colorado State University. There are many different ways in which you can give, and many ways in which you can help enrich our students' education at Colorado State University. On this site, you will find the information you need to make a gift to the College of Applied Human Sciences.
Dramatic cuts to higher education funding from the State of Colorado over the past few years have made private giving even more important for our students and programs. Colorado State University and the College of Applied Human Sciences are committed to bolstering our economy by preparing a highly educated and employable work force. It is vitally important to support institutions of higher learning in order to improve people's lives. Preserving affordable education is also important. The College has some of the top ranked programs in the country, and you can help guarantee we remain strong and affordable by making an unrestricted gift to the College of Applied Human Sciences. Unrestricted gifts allow us to channel funds to our greatest needs, including top notch facilities, state-of-the-art technology, and world class research laboratories. All of these ensure that our students get the best education possible so they are able to go out and tackle social problems and transform lives.
Another direct way to assist students is to establish a named scholarship or contribute to one of our many scholarship funds. Scholarship funds allow us to attract the best and the brightest students such as national merit scholars. Approximately $300,000 in scholarships is available to students each year, but the financial need of our students is great. We are currently able to help only a small percentage of the thousands of students in the College in spite of our successful fundraising efforts.
With your assistance, we hope to continue to add more scholarships, strengthen our research and teaching programs, and ensure that we have high quality facilities for our students. Please take a few moments to read these pages and find out about the current priorities of the College and how you might be able to help.
Warm Regards,
April Mason, Ph.D.
