Each third Thursday of the month, the Avenir Museum will present a topical lecture, featuring the current exhibition a/or a unique costume/textile in the museum. Join us on the Third Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in 136 UCA Annex. All lectures are free and open to the public. No reservations are needed.

November 19 – Wearing Blankets from The Durango Collection®.

Jeanne Brako, Curator of Collections and Public Programs at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College in Durango will discuss textiles from The Durango Collection® that chronicle the remarkable achievement of the Navajo, Pueblo, and Hispanic peoples.
