Graduating Seniors
All Applied Human Sciences graduating seniors will be individually recognized at the AHS College Commencement Ceremony.
Individual names will be announced and diploma covers presented. Lineup of graduates will take place in the Intramural Gym.
Arrive no later than 6:00 p.m. Check-in will be in the northwest corner. Students with special needs (i.e. hearing-impaired,
wheelchair seating) should call Gretchen Gerding at (970) 491-5182 to make arrangements.
Guests
Guests will be seated in Moby Arena beginning at 6:00 p.m. No tickets are required. The ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.,
and will last approximately one and one-half (1 ½) hours. Persons in wheelchairs can be accommodated on both the north and south ends
of the concourse level. (The best area to drop off persons in wheelchairs is at the north inclined ramp which will take them up to the
concourse level - there are no elevators in this area.) The first two rows of seats in each section will also be reserved for persons
who need special assistance because of difficulty managing stairs. Signs will be taped to chairs for these persons and a few of their guests.
This seating is limited, so please do not plan for large groups to sit in this area. A sign language interpreter will be available. There
will be reserved seating in Section P for hearing-impaired guests. Guests may use cameras from the upper concourse level and a professional
photographer will take photos of graduates as they cross the stage. Your proofs will be mailed directly to you by the photographer,

Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, please call (970) 491-SNOW for updates on the university's operating status and news of any
closures or cancellations.
Parking
There is no charge for commencement parking. Parking is available in the lot west of Moby, or anywhere on campus with the following
restrictions: A-permit (faculty and staff) parking zones will be enforced until 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 18. Visitors can park in the Z (commuter) zoned portion of the lot westof Moby Arena, as well as any other Z lot on campus.
Tickets WILL be issued to cars in restricted areas: handicapped zones, 20-minute loading zones, metered zones, and red zones. Additional
information regarding parking can be obtained from CSU police Department – Parking Division at (970) 491-7041.
Regalia (Caps and Gowns)
Undergraduate robes are black, and cum laude graduates wear gold robes. Students graduating with distinction (cum laude, etc.) will receive
a letter mid-semester indicating this status. This letter must be presented to regalia representatives in order to rent the gold robes.
University Honors Scholars graduates wear green robes and a bachelor stole. No advance reservations are needed for caps and gowns.
Regalia will be available in the Lory Student Center Room 228 from 8:00 to 5:00 on Wednesday, December 16, and Thursday, December 17.
Candidates must appear in appropriate academic attire at commencement exercises. Additions to the traditional regalia are not allowed.
Honorary society cords are considered part of the regalia.
Rental costs (tax included, no refund or deposit, CASH required)
Bachelor’s cap, gown, and tassel - $19.50
Note: The tassel for undergraduates in the College of Applied Human Sciences is maroon and is yours to keep, along with your cap.
Extra souvenir tassels are available for $7.00 each. Return of regalia will be immediately after the ceremony, in the Intramural Gym attached to Moby.

Graduation Announcement Sales
A company representative from CB Graduation Announcements will be present in the Lory Student Center Flea Market area Tuesday, October 13 – Thursday,
October 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to take orders for customized announcements (with student’s name imprinted). Orders after October 15 can be
placed at www.cbgrad.com or by calling 800-433-0296 and can be made until commencement or afterwards.
Customized orders are returned within 7-10 days of being ordered. Generic announcements (non-personalized) can be purchased at the Lory Student Center
Bookstore at anytime.
Miscellaneous
Diploma covers are handed out at the ceremonies. For those unable to attend the ceremonies, diploma covers are available in the Provost’s
Office, 108 Administration Building, (970) 491-6614. Diploma covers can be mailed – postage cost is $3 for U.S. mailings. The actual diploma will be
mailed approximately six weeks after commencement.
Commencement is a dignified ceremony. Candidates must appear in appropriate academic attire at commencement exercises. Additions to the
traditional regalia are not allowed. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Public intoxication is not permitted on University property and
